1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work as expected, to improve their efficiency, and to provide information to the website operator.
Cookies do not contain personally identifiable information on their own, though they may be linked to personal data held elsewhere. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website you are visiting are called "third-party cookies."
2. How We Use Cookies
Lanna Drift uses cookies for four purposes: to keep the website functioning correctly (essential), to understand how visitors use the site (analytics), to understand the effectiveness of any referral channels (marketing), and to remember your settings and preferences (preferences). The specific cookies we use are described in Sections 3โ6 below.
When you first visit our website, a consent banner will appear that allows you to choose which categories of cookies you accept. You can adjust your choices at any time by clicking "Manage My Cookie Preferences" above or on the banner when it reappears.
3. Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as choosing your cookie preferences or submitting a contact form.

4. Analytics Cookies
These cookies allow us to count visits and understand how visitors move around the website. They help us identify which pages are most visited, where visitors come from, and where they leave the site. All information collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous.

5. Marketing Cookies
These cookies are set to understand the effectiveness of any paid advertising or referral channels we may use, and to help us reach relevant audiences. They do not place advertisements on your device, and we do not share visitor data with advertisers for retargeting purposes.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Meta (Facebook) Pixel | Used by Meta to deliver and measure the effectiveness of advertising across Meta products; identifies browsers across related sites | 3 months |
| _fbc | Meta (Facebook) Pixel | Stores click attribution data from Facebook advertising campaigns | 2 years |
6. Preferences Cookies
These cookies allow the website to remember choices you have made, such as which version of a language you prefer, or other customisations. They improve usability by saving you the need to reset preferences on each visit.

| ld_prefs | Lanna Drift | Stores minor UI preferences to improve the browsing experience across visits | 6 months |
7. Third-Party Cookies and Services
Some cookies are set by third-party services that appear on our pages. We use the following third-party services which may set their own cookies:
- Google Analytics (GA4) โ analytics and website performance measurement. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google Maps โ embedded map on our contact page to show our office location. Google may set cookies in connection with the map embed. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft Bing Ads โ conversion and attribution tracking. Governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement at privacy.microsoft.com.
- Meta Pixel โ marketing measurement when you have accepted marketing cookies. Governed by Meta's Data Policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
We only load third-party tracking scripts after you have given consent for the relevant cookie category. The Google Maps embed may load independently of your analytics and marketing consent choices, as it falls under the essential category for contact page functionality.
8. Your Cookie Choices
8.1 Via Our Consent Banner
When you first visit the website, a consent panel will appear allowing you to accept all cookies, reject optional cookies, or choose your preferences by category. You can revisit your choices at any time by clicking the "Manage My Cookie Preferences" button at the top of this page.
8.2 Via Your Browser
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to block cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you when cookies are being placed. 8.3 Google Analytics Opt-Out
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your use of the website by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
9. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites requesting that they do not track user activity. Because there is currently no agreed standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, we do not alter our data collection practices in response to them. Our cookie consent system provides you with direct control over which tracking takes place.
10. Data Retention
Data collected through cookies is retained in accordance with the duration noted in the tables above for each cookie, and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Aggregated and anonymised analytics data may be retained for up to 26 months.
